Launched from a wish to showcase the UK’s “heritage of healthy coastal living” and help reduce the waste problem, Dom Bridges founded Haeckels in 2012 as a solo venture that has ultimately grown into a cult skincare brand that continues to put the ocean first with beach cleans and marine conservation surveys.
Based in the UK coastal town of Margate, Haeckels arose from Dom’s disappointment with how major skincare firms operate. From its cottage business beginnings in 2012 to today, Haeckles’ products use responsibly-sourced, hand-harvested seaweed off the Margate coast.
